There are 4 international equestrian standards to look for: Kitemark PAS015:2011, Kitemark VG1 01.040 2014-12 and SEI ASTM F1163:2023 and SNELL E2016 for the extreme situation. The more safety standards the better. A helmet’s maximum lifespan is 5 years. Replace after any impact. Most people have an oval shaped head but some have a rounder shape. The shape of your head can effect how a helmet fits and its comfort.
